GLOBAL HEROES: ROTARIAN HAILEY’S LIVING LEGACY OF WARMTH

(FEBRUARY 12, 2020) ANN ARBOR, MI - What do you think of when you think of forever? Diamonds? Dinosaur bones? How about a living legacy to warm babies?

Hailey Green had a dream to travel to resource-scarce countries to provide child and maternal healthcare. When our Warmilu team learned more about her, we knew she was one of our Global Heroes. Hailey was highly involved in her community and high school athletics as their coordinator. She was on the path to success when she was accepted into a nursing program. Through Rotary Club, she was going to realize her healthcare dreams in a trip to Ghana. Tragically, Hailey was killed in a car accident during the freshmen year of her nursing program. Now, Rotarian Hailey Green lives on in the work of countless, tireless doctors and nurses working to save lives in Sunyani Municipal and other hospitals served by Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club and Hailey’s project kicked off a living legacy to warm babies and spur healthcare improvement projects overseas in Ghana and Niger.
